Aviation Camp   Grades 4-6    Week 1:  June 20 – June 23  Week 2: June 26 – June 30   REGISTER

Description: Lockheed Martin Aviation Camp (LMAC) at Fernbank Science Center is a week-long activity-based camp that provides hands-on aviation experiences for rising 4th to 6th grade students.  The camp is packed with activities that help future aviators understand science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and technology (STEM).   More importantly, it will cultivate students’ sense of wonder, imagination, and creativity.  This summer we are also partnering with GSK and the Franklin Institute to introduce students to careers in Physics.   
Magical Moments with Microsoft  Grades 2-8  June 12 – June 15   REGISTER

Description: The purpose of Magical Moments with Microsoft is to introduce and expand the knowledge of our Digital tools with our digital dreamers for grades 2-8. This program will focus on utilizing the key features of Microsoft as a cloud-based tool. Students will best-practices when using creative tools in Microsoft.
Serendipity  Grades 1-6  Session 1:  May 30 – June 1  Session 2:  June 26 – June 29   REGISTER

Description: Serendipity is offered to provide extended enrichment beyond the traditional class schedule. All students will participate in visual/performing arts, physical and/or health education, world languages (Spanish), culinary arts, computer technology, music, and STEM.
Girls Who Game  Grades 6-8  June 5 – June 16, 2023 (Virtual Fridays)   REGISTER Description: Girls Who Game (GWG) is an initiative focused on increasing young girls’ access to technology to prepare them for success in a digital world. This gaming program gives female students the opportunity to learn through play, with a focus on building global competencies and computational thinking using Minecraft: Education Edition. Our Sister’s Keeper GLOW Camp Grades 1-12  June 5 – June 8   REGISTER Description: Students will have the opportunity to engage in wellness, empowerment, and STEM activities.

Description: The Literacy Camp model is designed to incorporate not only literacy skills (fluency, comprehension, analysis) but also engagement skills. Students will be exposed to a variety of reading opportunities that will also include virtual read-alouds and independent reading time. Every student will have access to high quality fiction and non-fiction literature. This fun-filled camp is for our students who are currently enrolled in kindergarten, first, and second grades during 2022-2023 school year.

Scholars Academy  Grades 3-8  June 5 – June 30  REGISTER

Description: Scholars Academy is designed to continue learning for students who have completed 3rd through 8th grades in the areas of mathematics and reading.  In addition to a focus on foundational skills, students will experience exploration in various connections fields such as world language, science, physical education, geography, music, and art.
